The Club offers dog training for a range of handlers from those with pet dogs to those planning to compete in competition.

Providing classes in Obedience, Agility, RallyO and Puppy school.

 The Club operates each Sunday from February to November (excluding Easter Sunday) from 9.00 – 12. noon on the South St Reserve, the corner of Clarence and River Streets.

New members

 Please allow 40 minutes on your first day  to enrol and pay your membership, $20.00 single $25.00 family including $2.00 Joining fee and $5.00 TCA insurance levy (not applicable for TCA members) and present your dogs vet vacination certificate on your first day.

10.00            Grade 4, 3, 2

11.00            Puppies and Beginners, Grade 1 and Good Companion.

                     Puppies from 9 weeks to 5 months are eligible for the puppy pen.

                     Older pups, over 5 months,  may start in Beginners class, with a new intake the 1st Sunday of each month.

                     Beginners class lasts for 4 weeks then automatically dogs progress to Grade 1 for 4 weeks after which an Assessment is held, if successful dogs progress to Good Citizen for 4 weeks. 

Classes last for 45 to 50 minutes with a cost of $3.00 each session. Grading is on the last Sunday in the month, please refer to our grading calender.

A RallyO course is set up at 9.00 and may be used by dogs and handlers at any time, please speak with the instructor for help with the course and a time to complete the course.

Agility is offered at 11.00 when numbers indicate the need. Please put your name on the list in the clubhouse and speak to any of the instructors for information about the next intake date.

At present a beginners course is being offered.
