  • How do I join the club?

    All new memberships and renewals are completed through our website. Navigate to ‘join the club’ to find out more about our membership options and the link to joining as a member.

  • How do I book a class?

    Before you can book a class you must be a current financial member and have contacted our club president via email about your dog’s training needs. You can reach Rosanne via info@easternshoredogclub.com.au.

    All bookings are completed online and must be booked at least 24 hours ahead of time. Bookings are NOT available on a Saturday after 9 am.

  • How do I know which class my dog should attend?

    The website provides a range of descriptions of our various classes and the relevant age and skill level for each class.

  • What do I bring to class?

    We recommend that you invest in a generous sized treat bag that can be worn on a waistband or belt. You will also need a flat collar and a lead that is 1.8 m long. Bring with you high value treats (very very special treats your dog doesn’t usually have).

    Make sure you are wearing closed toe shoes and comfortable fitted clothing that won’t flap or annoy you in the wind.

    If you dog is toy motivated bring a toy that you can gently play with.

  • Can I bring my children with me?

    If you have a children over the age of 12 years they may participate in classes under the supervision of an adult.

    Children younger than 12 years can only be on grounds with an adult supervising them for their own safety. You will be very busy during class and unable to split your attention between the dog and your children.

    Only those listed on the membership form are covered by our liability insurance.

  • I tried to book why isn't it working?

    1.If you are in a puppy or foundation class you will need to book via the link that was emailed to you. All other classes require an access code that is provided when you enroll in that particular class via email.

    2.Have you remembered to book at least 24 hours in advance? After that time all bookings close for the Sunday. We recommend you book during the week Mon- Fri.

    3.Check that you have followed the ‘book a class’ tab and are not in our member portal.

  • What does it cost to train with the club?

    All our membership fees can be found under the ‘join the club’ section of the website. Each class costs $5 and is booked and paid online.

  • I forgot to book, can I show up and pay on the day?

    Sorry, we are a volunteer run organisation. We rely on bookings and prepayment to allow our volunteers time to organise and prepare for classes. You must book classes to attend.

  • Do you have a trial class?

    No we don’t. You must be a member to be on grounds for insurance reasons.

  • What is the member portal for?

    Our member portal is a new feature of our member system. It is NOT for booking classes. It is for you to update your email and mobile, your dog’s vaccination details and even a photo of your dog.

    If you have became a member before June 2023 please take the time to log in and add your mobile number and check we have your current email details.

  • When are classes held?

    All classes are held Sunday mornings. Class times are as follows:

    9 am - agility/rally/greyhound

    10 am - good citizen/ grade2-5/ kinder

    11 am - puppies/ grade 1/ foundation

  • Why isn't my password working?

    The member portal and the class booking do not share the same password. The class booking password is for the following classes - good citizen, grade 1-5 obedience, rally, agility only. Other classes will have been emailed a booking link. You can set up a password for class bookings that allows you to manage your class bookings. This password is not managed by the Club.

    The member portal requires you to request access and then you can set your own password.

  • Why can't I reschedule my class from Foundation to Good Citizen?

    Acuity scheduling only allows you to reschedule within the one class type eg foundation to foundation. You are unable to reschedule between different class types. If you book the wrong class please email Sarah via members@easternshoredogclub.com.au to have your booking amended.
