Obedience Training

Upon completion of a beginner’s course, owners are invited to join our obedience training program. This program marks the move into more formal obedience training classes. This program offers opportunities to refine and polish previously acquired skills whilst adding new and more complex requirements for the dog. Owners and their dog will progress through the grades under our grading system that aligns with the skill level.

We run a grade program that aligns with the ANKC trial requirements. Within our grades 1-5 program, owners will progress through a variety of skills including:

• Heel on lead

• Recall on lead

• Down stay

• Stand stay

• sit stay

• stand for exam

• heeling pattern

• retrievals

• scent discrimination

• send over jump
